A little about us...
Whistling Bridge Café carries the charm of real Karoo hospitality. Set on the historic Smokey Grove farm, the café sits near the old railway bridge where steam trains once whistled through, the inspiration behind its name.
With safe parking, a kid-friendly outdoor area, and friendly farm animals that visitors adore, it’s a relaxing, family-friendly stop that quickly becomes a favourite.
Just a short walk away you’ll find the Anglo-Boer War blockhouse, the Krom River crossing, and wide Karoo views that invite you to slow down and breathe.

Inside the café you’ll find a curated range of locally made products like mohair socks, scarves, throws, leather goods, sheepskin slippers, beeswax wraps, and more.
Many items are made right here on the farm, using mohair from Whistling Bridge’s own Angora goats.
